This embellished square was inspired by a series of Middle Eastern tiles. The model is stitched on Raspberry Linen from R&R Reproductions using Glissen Gloss and Soie D'Alger. The star is interwoven with filling stitches and beads. All stitches are clearly diagrammed. This will fit nicely into Carol's Fancywork Box from Sudberry House or any other box with a minimum 7½ x 7½ inch opening, or you may want to use it as a pillow top or the front of a drawstring bag.  Feel free to experiment with colors to suit your own tastes. Suitable for intermediate level stitchers.
